Burrata Salad with Fresh Basil and Olive Oil

Ingredients:

  • 1 ball of fresh burrata cheese
  • 2 cups mixed greens (arugula, spinach, or spring mix)
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • 2-3 tbsp premium extra virgin olive oil (from The Little Shop of Olive Oils)
  • 1 tbsp balsamic glaze or vinegar (optional)
  • Sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper to taste

Instructions:

  • Arrange the mixed greens on a serving plate or platter as the base for your salad.
  • Scatter the halved tomatoes over the greens for a pop of color and sweetness.
  • Gently place the burrata cheese in the center of the salad.
  • Generously drizzle extra virgin olive oil over the burrata, greens, and tomatoes.
  • Sprinkle sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper to taste. Add fresh basil leaves for a fragrant and vibrant garnish.
  • If desired, drizzle a bit of balsamic glaze or vinegar over the salad for a sweet-tangy finish.
  • Serve immediately with crusty bread or as a side to your favorite meal.
