For the Focaccia:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1/4 cup Milanese Gremolata Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- Toppings: Fresh rosemary, coarse sea salt, peppercorns, sesame seeds
For the Neapolitan Herb Dip:
- 1/4 cup Neapolitan Herb Balsamic Vinegar
- 1/2 cup Milanese Gremolata Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
For the Focaccia:
- In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast and sugar in warm water. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Make a well in the center and pour in the yeast mixture and Milanese Gremolata Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
- Mix the ingredients until a dough forms. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Punch down the risen dough and divide it into mini portions. Shape each portion into a small round and place on a baking sheet or form.
- Press your fingertips into the dough to create dimples. Drizzle additional Milanese Gremolata Extra Virgin Olive Oil over the top and sprinkle with toppings.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the focaccia is golden brown and cooked through.
For the Neapolitan Herb Dip:
- In a small bowl, whisk together the Neapolitan Herb Balsamic Vinegar, Milanese Gremolata Extra Virgin Olive Oil, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Adjust the seasoning according to your taste.
Serve: Slice the mini Milanese Gremolata Focaccia bread and serve with a bowl of the Neapolitan Herb Dip on the side. Dip the warm focaccia into the flavorful herb-infused dip and enjoy the burst of Italian flavors in every bite.
Tip: You can customize the toppings on the focaccia by adding ingredients like cherry tomatoes, olives, or grated Parmesan cheese before baking.
